Weighing under 600 grams the freeplay FHRM is a fully portable fetal doppler with fetal heart rate display built for rugged environments.
It will operate without the need of mains supply or batteries, being charged, when required, by the self charge mechanism built into the unit. When a mains supply is available it can also be charged and provide over 10 hours of use from its built in rechargeable batteries.
The freeplay FHRM has all the necessary facilities for accurate antenatal fetal heart rate detection and monitoring in one rugged and compact unit.
The probes are connected to the unit via a long retractile cable, reducing the need to continuously move the unit around the patient.
With full multipoint digital autocorrelation the fetal heart detection it provides is accurate and reliable with the display of fetal heart rate on a large easy to read LCD display.
Simple to operate the FHRM is designed with a minimum number of controls. Just one to turn the unit on / off .
The Freeplay monitor is created expressly for the harsh conditions of rural and remote settings in the developing world. It is simple (it has only an on-off switch and a hand crank for generating its own electricity). It is built for robust operation and made to withstand knock-about conditions. Cranking its onboard power supply charger for one minute provides a full 10 minutes of operation; two minutes creates 20 minutes of charge.
