| The Sonoguide 2 consists of a main audio unit, a needle guidance transducer and a disposable gel. The vessel is located by using distinctive venous sounds produced as an audio doppler signal, on locating the centre of the required vessel the introducer needle is passed through the guidance transducer into the vessel. Once puncture is achieved the transducer can be removed by squeezing its sides together which parts the transducer and the coupling gel.
The Sonoguide 2 audio unit can be stand mounted and is powered from 2 batteries allowing for easy positioning close to the patient.
The simplicity of the unit is reflected in the number of controls, the user has only to adjust the volume level that can be achieved from the front of the unit or by use of the optional footswitch.
The units display provides a numeric indication of signal amplitude as well as a bar graph to assist in the positioning of the transducer.
All Sonoguide 2 units are manufactured in Europe and are approved to current medical standards
